Sally's experience is captured in detail in her CV.
During her career break to start a family Sally was privileged to be awarded a Daphne Jackson Fellowship. The Daphne Jackson Trust runs a returners scheme for scientists, engineers and technologists who have taken a career break. The Daphne Jackson Trust relies on Sponsors and Donors to continue its work.
In May 2009 Sally applied for Chartered Engineer status with The Energy Institue. Her Professional Development Report can be found here. She was awarded chartered status in Sept 2009. Only 2.5% of Chartered Engineers are female, so X2 Engineers need to apply and be counted.
For the purpose of promoting engineering Sally has recently taken opportunities to showcase her industry knowledge and career to students and women in the industry.
