Getting time to work on my Chartered Engineer application. The EI guidance notes advise applictants should read their Rules of professional Conduct. Feels a bit like reading the assembly instructions for a MFI bookshelf but I guess that's what professional DIYers do. Euphoria! I quote;

Members of the Energy Institute (EI) recognise the importance of their professional activities for the quality of life and accept a personal obligation to act in the public interest and to maintain and improve their professional competence.

..Members will not set out to challenge the professional reputation of others unless it is in the public interest or necessary to protect their own professional reputation.

(the undelining is mine)

So you might not be flavour of the month if you're not a 'Yes' man but you could consider yourself a professional. That rocks

Mrs Sutherland at Aberdeen grammar School has done a great job getting the 'Perceptions of Engineering' survey completed by some 86 pupils. All I need know is time to evaluate the results. My survey of Tight Gas literature is taking longer than I expected. The last time I did research work was back in 1994 and my mathematical savvy is a little rusty.

Have found a Web designer for the Reservoir Engineering Knowledge Leverage website that I want to develop. Professional, entusiastic and competitive.
