Website Launch Day
November 2, 2009
Monday 2nd November 2009 sees the launch of the corporate 
website.
Simultaneously the Knowledge Leverage Website reservoirengineering.org.uk will be launched.
The websites showcase the talents of practising reservoir engineer Sally Knudson.
The ‘light bulb’ for a knowledge leverage capability was lit in Sally’s mind back in 1998. At that ‘Light up’ moment Sally called Laurie Dake to talk the idea through with him. However, he was deeply unhappy with oil company management in the UK and much of the conversation was about this. He kept apologising to her for the frustration he was sharing and said he was going to concentrate on training out with the UK. Little did she know it was the last time she would be able to talk with him. He died a week later.
Two months later Sally was struck down by mental illness. The fight back to ‘normality’, lasting 8 years, proved to be a long one.
Today is immensely satisfying for Sally. The Knowledge Website pays tribute to the wit and wisdom of Laurie and showcases that Sally might be 'Firing on all cylinders' again.
Some may ask what nature of engineer is Sally. As a woman her instincts motivate her to be a ‘people pleaser’, as a professional she knows she can’t afford that luxury if her integrity is at risk.
She is a ‘Marmite’ Engineer. Nothing intrinsically bad in her. But, colleagues tend to either ‘love’ her or ‘hate’ her. It could be worse she could be a 'Grumpy Old' Engineer....lol
